Introducing a new style of racing popular with the Playstation-generation, Super Street Racing brings to life the popular 3-lap sprint-race format for street-registered cars made fashionable by console computer games such as Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsports.
It is a six-round championship held through the year and will be held at KL MotoPark.
All championship categories will use proven timing equipment for categorical race results. Points will be given based on the result and accumulated points for final standings in the championship.
Pursuit League
2 heats each will be run by 4 cars in a race of 3-laps, in a league format. The top-2 qualifiers from the League will advance to the 2nd round, which will also be 3-laps. The top-2 from the 2nd round will head to the final, which will be 2 heats of 5 laps.
This format provides Tight, quick, exciting racing for both the competitors and the spectators!
Categories
Pursuit League cars will be segregated into six categories:
1. Class A (Rocco): 2501cc and above
2. Class B (North Pole): 1901cc – 2500cc
3. Class C (Hung): 1601cc – 1900cc
4. Class D (Eat Me): 1301cc – 1600cc
5. Class E (Pre-Viagra): Below 1300cc
6. Class F (Spunk): 2 door 2 seat sports cars below 2000cc
Forced induction engines calculate specific capacity by 1.7 times as per FIA
Super Street Racing will see individuals, top tuners and workshops showcasing their finest work to win the SSR Trophy.
