Most times, when you see a car with kids or babies, they're in the mother's arms or on her lap. It's easy and convenient. And the mum wears a seatbelt.
If there's a collision, the baby would become a
missile - flying through the windscreen and landing on the road or smashing against the dashboard, and will probably die. The mum might be alright, but she would not be able to hold on to the baby, even for a collision at 50km/h.
Kids need child seats whenever they ride in a car. It costs a few hundred bucks to buy. It's cheaper to
rent.
